Locked up? No problem! Just go to http://www.ugotgames.com/adventure/breakout.php for complete instructions on how to escape.
Well, maybe this game won't really help you break out of jail. Come to think of it, most guards would probably not fall for camouflage and soccer ball distractions. So, maybe Breakout is not a very realistic game, but it's still fun to play.
How do you Break Out? The game begins at level one, where you've escaped the attention of the prison guards and have the opportunity to reach the next gate. Your only obstacles are the searchlights and flashlights of the guards. Monitor their patterns, and you'll be able to find a way to avoid them and reach the exit gate.
This basic strategy applies to every level of the game. At the beginning of each level, you get a little hint. Sometimes, the hint will tell you what special equipment to look for. For example, on the second level, you'll pick up a suit of camouflage which will help you hide out throughout the rest of the game. On other levels, you can grab a soccer ball and a cell phone, which you'll later use to distract the guards. And at one point in the game, you can pick up special lightning rods which will illuminate the fog without attracting the guards' attention.
If you foul up your escape by crossing the path of a flashlight or search light, it's no big deal. The game will start you off at the beginning of the level you didn't make it through. That's how I managed to get through the game and make a break for freedom.
Overall, this game is entertaining and pretty easy to play. The most essential challenge of the game is learning to predict the paths of the searchlights and timing your movements to avoid them. The only negative in my opinion is the graphic quality. Usually, the games that keep players coming back for more are the ones that are realistically or at least pleasantly depicted.
Aside from that minor detail, this game is still worth playing once. Play Breakout by following the link above.
