Well, they're back - in a River Rapids Rampage Adventure that you control. This fun, free game is available at net-games.biz.

In typical Scooby Doo style, the game begins with Shaggy and Scooby talking to a creepy looking Mr. Culpepper. He's got a hot sauce factory that makes the Five Skull Fire Sauce, produced with a special pepper that grows only in the Haunted Temple of Lost Souls. Fortunately, he's collected enough peppers for his own personal supply. So what's the problem? Shaggy's chili recipe, "like, needs that ingredient!" And nobody who goes into the haunted temple could ever make it out alive.

Of course, Shaggy and Scooby go anyway. They borrow a map from Mr. Culpepper and take off to collect some supplies near the river, which has been overtaken with dangerous jungle animals.

Your job in this little mission? You've got to collect handy items on your way to the river in order to fend off monkeys, snakes, lions, and crocs. If one of these animals manages to scare Shaggy and Scooby before you've figured out how to chase it away, then your Scare- meter starts to fill up. When the Scare-meter is completely full, the game ends.

Once you do make it to the river, you'll take the canoe to the next part of the game. Here, you have to navigate river rapids and avoid crocodiles, piranhas, and a "Mayan Mayhem" that pops out from behind the bushes. Try to canoe through the river, and avoid maxing out your Scare-meter. If you make it to the end, you've won the game.

There's more to come in Episode Two of Scooby Adventure. Maybe in the next episode, Scooby and Shaggy will finally get their hands on those crazy hot peppers in the Temple of Lost Souls. For now, I'm just happy that they made it through the Rampaging River Rapids alive!

Quadramania

On first glance, it seems a bit like Tetris. Then, you realize it's Quadramania, a totally different tetris-style game from Clever Media.

Here's what's similar to Tetris: You get a single-colored combination of square tiles to place on the board, just like in Tetris. You also get to see the piece on the side of the screen before it's delivered. While you're deciding where to place your piece, you can turn it around in all directions. That's pretty much where the similarity ends.

The goal of Quadramania is to form single colored rectangles that are at least 2 by 3 tiles long. You're first instinct will be to attempt to form lots of differently colored rectangles in different places on the game board by fitting together the pieces you receive (again, remember Tetris?) But then you'll realize that this is not the way to go.

The best strategy is to make one big single colored (say, pink) rectangle in the middle of the screen and then use all the other colored (blue, green, orange) pieces you get to trim the sides and make it an even rectangle. That's because your big pink rectangle will count for nothin' until there are no offensive pink tiles sticking off where they shouldn't be.

Something to keep in mind when playing the game is that you can place any tile over any other tile AS LONG AS IT'S NOT THE SAME COLOR. That means, you can put a blue piece right on top of that annoying pink protrusion, as long as you're not covering up any blue tiles in the process. If you are, you'll have to use an orange or a green piece instead.

The bigger the rectangle you form, the more points you get. Once the rectangle is single-colored and evenly sided, it will disappear from the screen and get added to your point total.

As the board gets filled up, the spaces around the sides start to disappear, leading to a much smaller place to place your tiles. Try to score more points to restore the game board to its former size.

Sounds complicated? It is, a little bit. But I think that's because new players are so taken aback that the Quadramania is really nothing like Tetris. Play a few times, and you'll get the hang of it.

Add it Up

There's nothing better than a math game to put those brain cells to work. Add it Up is a timed game of logic that does just that!

The game is set up on a square grid full of smaller squares containing numbers. Your job is to click on numbers that add up to a target total, shown at the top right of the screen. The more numbers you use, the more points you get. For example, if you're shown a target of 18, you could just pick a 9 and a 9, but you'll score more points if you choose a 5, a 4, a 6, and a 3.

Another way to score big points is to complete your math problem before the time on the clock runs out. The quicker you solve it, the more bonus points you get.

The game ends when you run out of possibilities. That's why it pays to pick your numbers wisely (but quickly!) - don't use up all of the 1's on your first move. You may need one later on. Once you're out of options, the computer will subtract 500 points for every number left on the grid - a hefty penalty.

Add it Up is another stimulating and fun game from Clever Media. It's so enjoyable to play free games that require a bit of skill and mental power while also featuring great graphics and no bugs.

Digital Air Hockey

Who doesn't love air hockey? Now you can play this arcade classic online, at Gamescene.com.

In typical air hockey fashion, you're presented with a puck, a paddle, and an air hockey table. What's not so typical is that you get to pick the skill level of your opponent: easy, medium, or hard. Then, you battle against a computer to become air hockey champion. But take note: even if you're really good at air hockey, it's not so easy to beat a computer at the game.

On the easy level, I had some technical difficulties with my playing partner. At a certain point in the game, he grabbed hold of the puck and stopped playing. And on the medium level, my opponent was far more skilled than I at digital air hockey - he knew all of the best maneuvers.

What's nice about the game are the arcade style graphics and the authentic sound effects - you'll hear the white noise sounds of an air hockey table in the background while you play. Score eleven points first and you'll win the game.

Brick Invaders

You won't find any sort of invasion in Brick Invaders from Clever Media, but you will find a rubber ball that packs a punch and colorful walls of breakable bricks.

This free game is well designed and fun to play. At each level, the player is presented with a wall of bricks, including extra-tough bricks, bombs, and command centers. Use your paddle at the bottom of the screen to deflect a little ball in the right direction. The ball will bounce off the sides and top of the screen, and off of any brick, but if you miss it on the way down, it will disappear into the dark unknown.

What should players watch out for? First of all, there are the bombs woven into every wall. You can see them, but you may not realize that breaking the surrounding bricks will send them flying in your direction. If you get hit by a bomb, you lose a ball.

It's also important to always catch the ball before it hits the bottom. Every player starts off with four extra balls, but once your ball supply is gone the game ends.

One fun feature of Brick Invaders is that the ball acts like a ball should. If it breaks a brick on the top of the wall, it won't come straight down - instead, it will continue bouncing between the top of the screen and the other bricks on the wall. This move will break a lot of bricks, and score lots of points.

Once you've broken every brick in sight, move your magic ball on to the next level. The game ends at Level 20.

Finish Line

At the start of the game, you get to take your pick from four different cars. Then the race track music commences as the timer starts ticking. Your goal is to make one lap around the track as fast as you can. Watch out for the sharp turns and the usual obstacles (cones, construction barriers) - running into them will slow you down. On the other hand, your car is practically impenetrable, so you might as well go as fast as you can, even if you spend the whole race skimming the sides.

The main difference between this and a real arcade game? No driving skills will help you ace this one. There's no mock steering wheel or even a joy stick. You have to learn how to control a high speed vehicle with two or three fingers on the arrow keys.

I thought this game was a really cool take on a video game classic. It's fun to try out different cars and see which one will help you beat your previous time. The finger maneuvering is a little bit unwieldy, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be zipping around the track.

The Wheel Of Misfortune

Nothing like a dark comedy to get your blood goin' in the morning. That's when I played The Wheel of Misfortune, a new free game on net-games.biz. It's a funny, yet slightly disturbing aim and fire game. On each level, you have a complete supply of knives and a spinning target. Right in the middle of the target lies, you guessed it, an "assistant." You get a different assistant on every level, but it's always a living breathing (graphic) person in the center of the Wheel of Misfortune. At every level, you'll receive a different set of instructions. You might be instructed to pop all the balloons in under 15 seconds, but avoid all the dollar bills. Or, hit all the coins, but don't hit the balloons in under 10 seconds. To play, just aim with your mouse and click to fire as your target circles around the wheel. If you hit all of the targets, and don't hit your assistant, then you get an A+. Lower grades are assigned when you've wounded your assistant or missed some of the targets. And if you commit manslaughter while playing this risky game, then you receive a big fat F, but you do get to try the round again if you want to. As the levels progress, the wheel spins faster and the targets are harder to hit. Cute sound effects in the background feature cheering and jeering onlookers. This game is definitely worth a round or two if you don't mind dark humor.

Playing games on your iphone

What's even better than playing free games on your computer? The goal - to land your chopper in a war zone and carry wounded soldiers to safety.

Chopper Rescue is an entertaining game from CleverMedia that puts you in the shoes of a helicopter rescue team. You've got to avoid bullets from tanks, missiles, and fighter jets, and get all your soldiers out of there before the time runs out. Use your space bar to shoot down enemies coming your way. The shift key will take your chopper up and down, and the arrow keys guide your vehicle in the right direction.

When the time runs out, you get to move on to the next level. Rescue all of your men to avoid losing points. The game starts with three lives, and you lose one every time your chopper is shot down.

I thought it was pretty incredible how the sound of bullets firing and jets flying can put you on the edge of your seat. It's funny how a few simple sound effects can make you feel like you're playing an intense war game, despite the low-level graphics and lack of game complexity.

The hardest part of the game, in my opinion, is figuring out how to use your arrow keys to properly guide the chopper. Once you master that move, just make sure to stay away from tank fire and focus on rescuing your men. Shooting down missiles and jets will gain you a few points, but will also distract you from your mission.

Alley Cat

Can your favorite furball make it as an alley cat? It's not easy to spend your days outdoors, always in search of your next meal and fending for yourself. That's why cats have nine lives - to make up for the constant danger of living as a free feline.

Alley Cat from CleverMedia is all about helping the kitty of your choice make it on the street. The goal of the game is to help your cat jump from one house to the next without meeting his demise. How do you keep your kitty safe? You have to guide him from one floating platform to the next so he can enter the nearest window in one piece. If your fancy fingerwork isn't quick enough, you'll find yourself with a fallen cat.

At the beginning of the game, you get to choose from five different cats - Lucy, Spooky, Tabby, Jimi, and Hairball. Each cat has got its own distinctive personality, from their signature ?yowl? to their personalized fall to the ground. Pick your cat and then get jumping through the alley, using your space bar and arrow keys. Since the platforms are constantly moving, you'll probably miss the jump eventually, but that's okay - if your cat falls, he'll just lose one of his nine lives. The game ends when those nine lives are up.

I thought this game was cute and fun. That said, there is room for improvement. The scenery from one level to the next was exactly the same - a few changes would have made the game a bit more entertaining.

Go ahead and give it a try. See how many points you can score before meeting your inevitable alley cat fate.

Gone Fishing

If you have enough patience for real live fishing, then you probably have enough patience for Gone Fishing from Clever Media.

At first, I found this game soothing and relaxing. What could be better than sitting on the edge of a pier, watching the fish swim by below, and carelessly casting a line into the water? But when you're playing a video game, you expect the pace to pick up!

The game is very simple. You sit by the water with a fishing line that slowly swings back and forth (automatically, no sweat for you). Many fish swim back and forth in the water, along with several assorted pieces of junk, like tires, teddy bears, and old pots. When you're ready to cast your line, hit the spacebar and down it goes. If you've calculated carefully, you'll reel in a juicy fish. The deeper it is, the more points you get. Otherwise, you've wasted a few seconds on the clock and have to try again. And if you catch an old teddy bear or anything else that's not a fish, you'll lose points.

Score enough points, and you'll move on to the next level, where the junk is more abundant and an even higher score is needed to make it through.

As I mentioned before, while this game is relaxing and evokes the feeling of fishing on a warm summer morning, it gets a bit slow for a video game. Level after level of the same old thing can be kind of redundant if you're looking for action and challenge.

Enviro Boarder

Skateboard through an urban obstacle course and avoid taking a spill. In Enviro Boarder, from Clever Media, you get to do this while collecting recyclable trash from the street and depositing it in the nearest recycling bin.

I had a great time playing this game. It reminded me of a Bart Simpson skateboard game I used to play when I was little. The graphics, music, and anecdotal sound effects were great, and the game was fun yet challenging.

What's the real deal with Enviro Boarder? You're a teenage kid aboard a speeding skateboard. You can use the arrow keys to speed up or slow down as you ride away through the city streets. Your goal? Pick up cans, papers, and bottles and put them in the bin before your sixty seconds are up. You can only pick up five of each kind before dropping them off. Each item you deposit earns you more time on the clock, and if you get fifteen in at once, you earn a cool 75 bonus points.

So what's preventing you from easily winning this game? There's stuff everywhere - big men reading the paper, little old ladies shuffling down the street, dogs, buses, cards, billboards, you name it! You can either skate around these obstacles or jump over them, but the crowd is pretty thick - you may jump over one thing to find yourself careening into another. Every time you take a spill (or get hit by a bus!) you lose a life. Lose all four lives, and the game ends.

Not only that, but it's a bit harder to focus on grabbing every piece of trash when you're swerving and hopping for your life. If you run out of time before reaching a bin, you lose the game altogether.

Definitely check out this game. It's absorbing, entertaining, and challenging all at once.

Think Ahead by Clever Media

Want to play an incredibly cool game that will test your powers of prediction? Think Ahead from Clever Media pits you against a computer in a game of forethought and logic.

It's a bit hard to explain the rules of the game, but I'll give it a shot:

You start off on a board filled with numbers. Behind one horizontal row is a yellow line. You get to pick your first number from this row. Whichever number you pick determines which vertical column the computer gets to pick from. For example, if you pick the third number in a row, then the computer gets to pick from the third column on the board. Then the computer chooses a number, and its place determines which horizontal row you get to pick from next. Got it so far?

The goal of the game is for your numbers to add up to a score higher than the computer's. You have to pick your numbers carefully. Rather than just picking the highest number available, you have to predict what your choice will do for the computer. For instance, if your highest available number is a 3, and it's in the same column as a 15, you don't want to pick that number. Otherwise, the computer will get the 15.

The first round I played was quick and thoughtless....and I won. During subsequent rounds, I planned a bit more carefully, and lost both times. It seems that the computer has the ability to plan a few moves ahead, while I was only thinking of the next play. But that's okay. This is one game I'll be trying to beat again in the future.

Smite Thee by CleverMedia

Feel like going on a power trip?

Play Smite Thee by Clever Media for a chance to be great god Zeus. Zeus is a god with a mission. He is dead set on keeping his temple standing. Unfortunately for him, the world is swarming with non-believers in little brown cloaks. It's up to Zeus to prevent these bad guys from carrying away his temple, piece by piece - by striking each one with lightning.

Luckily for the state of organized religion, there are still plenty of believers roaming around. If Zeus manages to bless a believer while he's in the temple, a piece of the temple will be restored.

Sounds like a pretty easy job for a god! But for you (and me!), it's a bit more difficult. You see, the people traversing the screen will start off spare and slow-moving, but as the game progresses, those non-believers practically gallop their way to the temple. You've got to keep up if you want to earn a high score.

To move Zeus back and forth on the screen, you can use the mouse. If you're ready to strike someone dead, press the spacebar to release a carefully-targeted bolt of lightning (avoid striking the believers!) When you want to give someone your blessing, press the B key to produce a divine ray of light. The game ends when the entire temple has been whisked away right beneath Zeus's nose.

My feeling about Smite Thee? It's a fun game with good graphics and sound, but maybe a bit repetitive. Play it once and try it out - maybe you'll find it intriguing.

Newton's Nightmare

Was Isaac Newton's apple-dropping epiphany enough to keep him dreaming about the fruit for years? We'll never know the answer to that question, but we can get a glimpse into what an apple nightmare would look like.

Introducing....Newton's Nightmare, a fantastic game filled with every apple imaginable. The virtual game board contains yellow delicious, granny smith, crab apples, and so much more. But what's the fun behind all of these apples?! You've got to get the matching ones together in rows of three - or four for extra points. The rows can be vertical or horizontal, but not diagonal. And you'll have to stick to one stubborn little rule : You can only change the places of two apples next to each other. That means that you'll have to scan the board for any apple that's just one place out of place.

Sounds easy? It's not as simple as you think. Sometimes, those misplaced apples just won't pop out at you. That's when the hint button comes in handy. If you opt to take a hint, you'll lose a few points, but sometimes you need that little push to get your game going.

Supposedly, the game ends when you run out of possible matches. I played for a while, and I never reached that point. You also lose points for every five seconds spent thinking, and of course, you gain points for every identical apple row you create. It's fun to see how high you can score, but I had a great time simply searching for the next match. I also loved the sharp graphics and crisp color scheme.

Once you start playing, you won't be able to stop.

Playing Games and Winning Cash

Playing games of all sorts is lots of fun. No problem! Just go to http://www.ugotgames.com/adventure/breakout.php for complete instructions on how to escape.

Well, maybe this game won't really help you break out of jail. Come to think of it, most guards would probably not fall for camouflage and soccer ball distractions. So, maybe Breakout is not a very realistic game, but it's still fun to play.

How do you Break Out? The game begins at level one, where you've escaped the attention of the prison guards and have the opportunity to reach the next gate. Your only obstacles are the searchlights and flashlights of the guards. Monitor their patterns, and you'll be able to find a way to avoid them and reach the exit gate.

This basic strategy applies to every level of the game. At the beginning of each level, you get a little hint. Sometimes, the hint will tell you what special equipment to look for. For example, on the second level, you'll pick up a suit of camouflage which will help you hide out throughout the rest of the game. On other levels, you can grab a soccer ball and a cell phone, which you'll later use to distract the guards. And at one point in the game, you can pick up special lightning rods which will illuminate the fog without attracting the guards' attention.

If you foul up your escape by crossing the path of a flashlight or search light, it's no big deal. The game will start you off at the beginning of the level you didn't make it through. That's how I managed to get through the game and make a break for freedom.

Overall, this game is entertaining and pretty easy to play. The most essential challenge of the game is learning to predict the paths of the searchlights and timing your movements to avoid them. The only negative in my opinion is the graphic quality. Usually, the games that keep players coming back for more are the ones that are realistically or at least pleasantly depicted.

Aside from that minor detail, this game is still worth playing once. Play Breakout by following the link above.

Chase Down Your: Chicken And Eggs

Bawk, bawk, bawk bawk bawk!

You'll find this refrain playing in your head after playing Chicken and Eggs, another great game from CleverMedia. This cute little game includes a wild free range chicken, flying eggs, and a frantic farmer trying to catch them all.

The general gist of the game is that you are the farmer on a free-range chicken farm. Instead of chickens that lay their eggs placidly in their nests, you have chickens that make you work for your omelets. In the game, a chicken sits up top on a coop and you walk around beneath her with a wooden box. As she lays eggs all over the place, you have to catch them without letting a single one drop. At each level, the chicken gets progressively more jittery, and the eggs get much more difficult to catch.

What happens if you let one slide? The egg will splat! onto the ground and you'll lose a box. You have three boxes with which to demonstrate your egg catching skills. After you miss three eggs, the game ends.

This game is really fun, but incredibly difficult. Some players on the game's website were boasting scores of 150 eggs. Play Chicken and Eggs one time and you'll see how hard it is to catch that many. So far, I haven't made it past level three!

Get Ready for a Brain Strain

This game is definitely a strain on your brain. Especially if you're like me - the very mention of the words "brain" and "strain" gets me all psyched up to determine how quickly I can win any game where expert thinking is required.

But if you do decide to play Brain Strain from CleverMedia, be prepared in advance for a difficult game that takes time to catch on to. Here's the deal:

You're witnessing the creation of thoughts in a brain. They form piece by piece, in a variety of shapes and patterns. Your goal is to pull some thoughts together to form a chain. Once you've completed a thought, it disappears, making room for more partially completed thoughts to enter.

The tough part is that most of the thoughts require some serious manipulating to create a chain. You can't move a thought from one place to another, but you can rotate it in four directions. It's not too difficult to create a little square thought or two, but you'll quickly lose the game if you can't find a place for all of those big misshapen thoughts. It pays to ignore the little ones and focus on putting together the big ones.

As you put together thoughts, you score points. When the brain is completely full, the game ends.

This game is a little bit like one of those brain teasers where you have to arrange matches or toothpicks to form a specific pattern. The difference is that it goes much faster, and you have no idea what kinds of patterns you need to form.

Despite its difficulty, I really liked Brain Strain, and most of the games from CleverMedia, for that matter. This game isn't mindless and dull - it's a real challenge! And as usual with CleverMedia games, the graphics and sounds are good.

July Free Slots Tournament

Summer is here and you know what that means: It's just too hot to do anything! I still do. But playing Food Memory has made me question my memory skills. Or, not so much question them, but perhaps see that my memory skills are more to do with the method that I have trained myself to use for them, which is an interesting point in itself. Playing Food Memory made me realize that I have developed successful memory skills through words rather than pictures. But in Food Memory you need to use visual memory skills and it is those that I have not mastered so well.

How to play Food Memory

So in Food Memory you get pictures of 9 different food dishes lined up in rows of 3. You get a few seconds to look at them all and remember how they are arranged. Then the screen changes and all the food dishes are on the bottom of the screen and you have the same 9 places in which to put them back.

How I did with Food Memory

To be honest, I initially thought that Food Memory would be really easy, but actually it was not at all. Indeed, the most I ever got correct was 3. I think I found it particularly hard as I did not know the names of a lot of the dishes. Like I said, since I am a word person (rather than visual) I could not use words to help my memory in this game. I knew what the sushi, soup and burger was but then with the big round thing that I couldn't identify, I was lost for words as it were. Also, this game is pretty brutal because as soon as you make one mistake you are out.

Whack Your Boss in 7 Different Ways!

Get Your Frustrations Out Here, On Line

Have you ever really hated your boss? Do you still hate him or her now? Have you ever dreamed of whacking your boss and seeing blood squirt from all parts of him? Well, if you can answer yes to any of these questions, then you will simply love Whack Your Boss. Of course, in the real world, it is not really possible for one to whack their boss. First of all, it is not politically correct to whack anyone. Second, if you so much as were a tiny bit rude to your boss (never mind whacking him), you would be fired immediately, on the spot. That is the problem; you really are stuck when you are the employee working for someone. And so often, individuals do actually desire deeply to whack their boss. And that is why Whack Your Boss is such a great game, because it lets the player live out their fantasies. The game reminds me a bit of what my mother used to say in Temple. She used to say that she wanted to get up, when the rabbi was preaching and yell out, why don't you just shut up? Because of course she never could because that would be very unseemly and her and my father might be asked to not return. She would probably enjoy Whack Your Boss! Imagine, there could be a whole load of variations to the game.

How Whack Your Boss Works

So you have 7 different ways that you can choose from to whack your boss. There are different tools you can use. How about spilling your coffee all over him? It is a bit gory. Imagine, the next time you are in the office and your boss speaks patronizingly to you, just what that stapler on your desk could do to him, as you remember what you did in this cool game. It is quite realistic in some ways too. Each time the game begins it starts with the boss coming in (while you are at your desk, no doubt hard at work), and he says: "No, no, no, no, wrong, wrong, it has come to my attention that you are not measuring up. You will have to stay late again" etc. It goes on like this until you get so mad that you just have to whack him. You (the player) can make the decision at any point when to whack him.

Although the actual screen while you are playing is just a black and white cartoon picture, when it comes time to whack him, a whole load of blood splurges out everywhere until he lies dead on the floor (well surely he deserves it, no?) but then you can press the "cleaner" button and all disappears -- until the boss comes back and repeats the same mantra that irritates you again. So you can spill the coffee over him and the blood will emerge again.

See If You Can Get 1-Up

How fast can your eyes go?

In the flash, fast paced game 1-Up, you see 3 small boxes on the screen and you have to find the little mushroom hidden under one of them. The game starts with the 3 small 3-D boxes and an arrow pointing to one of them (where the mushroom is hiding behind). All 3 boxes are identical of course. Each round gets faster. So the first round is relatively easy. Also, each round seems to last a little longer (I am not sure if in reality this is the case or it just seems so because it gets harder.)

Why I like to play 1-Up

I found 1-Up to be a lot of fun. The game is a real test for how good your eyes are at following things around the screen. What I learnt was that by having (or developing) a skill for this kind of game, you will probably be good at other games that require good eye focus, which are a lot of online flash games. I personally really enjoyed it as it became increasingly challenging but did not require me to think, just focus. I like the games that I can just use natural skills for, rather than sit back and think, but that is just a personal thing. Also, I found that the more that I focused on the game (and that comes with practice), the more I wanted to focus on it. And the more you do that, the faster you start thinking and the more exciting the game becomes!

Play Fantasy in Dress Up A Sweet Couple

Dress Up This Sweet Couple

If you have ever enjoyed dress up - whether on you or some unsuspecting cousins - then you will love Dress Up a Sweet Couple. No matter what age you are, there is always something enjoyable to be gotten out of dressing someone up. Usually it is the female gender who enjoys such activities, but sometimes men can benefit from it too. For me, Dress Up a Sweet Couple reminded me of when I was younger and used to dress up my Barbie doll. But somehow on line it is even more fun.

How Dress Up a Sweet Couple Works

You get a picture of a very cute couple (no need to worry; they are covered up to some extent, more than just undies), and you get a whole load of clothes, accessories, hair pieces, etc. with which to dress them up. Actually, there is no real point to the game, but for me it was (and still is) a lot of fun.

Benefits of Dress Up a Sweet Couple

You can play it for hours on end as there are a lot of different clothes to use. I think that the game is especially good for the younger, more youthful generation. They get to play dress up which is a wonderful way of using their imagination and expressing themselves without taking any risks. If you are unsure of what to wear or how a certain style will make you feel in public, it is a fun way to try it out. But bear in mind that the model in Dress up a Sweet Couple is of course particularly thin and svelte (like most models) and the guy seems to have the perfect body too. The game could be problematic in the same way that today's magazines and TV actors and actresses are - giving a false sense to young men and women of how they want to look which could lower their self esteem and make them feel like they are not good enough.

Go Mad With Paperplane Madness 2

Get Nostalgic With Paperplane Madness 2

I remember as a kid how much I loved to make paper planes, but mine would never really amount to much. There was one boy in my class though who always managed to successfully aim his paper plane at the teacher. When I discovered Paperplane Madness 2, I thought of him and wondered if I could use this game to recreate some of the fun of those days of old.

The aim of this game is to gain control of the paper plane. There are 3 levels in the game (each one gets harder) and you are trying to control the plane through lots of obstacles, enemies and thunderstorms. You get points for the longer you are in the game and the more enemies you manage to destroy.

What to Avoid with Paperplane Madness 2

What you want to avoid in this game are the obstacles. These come in the form of the following: Seagulls and ducks which are just evil and will stop at nothing to attack you and fly really high. Jumbo jets are pretty tough too and how on earth could a plane made out of paper stand up to one of these? But what you do want to try and get are the enemy shield which protects the paperplane from enemies and the projectiles which gives you (the paper plane) the ability to shoot projectiles.

Keep Abreast of Everything in Paperplane Madness 2

What I found with Paperplane Madness 2 was that you really have to keep on top of everything that is going on at all times. There is so much going on and so many different things happening. It is a good way to develop the skill of multi-tasking. Because let's say you get good at avoiding the seagulls, you might forget about the ducks or the terrible weather that can really knock you out. I guess Paperplane Madness 2 makes you realize just how vulnerable you can really be. And that is quite a good lesson for life to make one that bit extra cautious.

April Free Slots Tournament

This month, All Slots and All Jackpots are holding another free slots tournament. This quiz contest gives players a chance to win $21,000.

I happen to know a bit of 21 trivia myself, but the truth is, you really don't have to know much to make it through the 21 questions. Just be prepared to spend some time surfing the Internet for the right answers. For example, who was the 21st president of the United States? Most people have no clue how to answer that one, but a quick Google search of "United States presidents" will reveal the answer.

On the other hand, some of the questions are downright easy, like the first question - In arithmetic, what does 3 times 7 equal? Or, what card game is also known as "21"?

The bottom line - if you like trivia, give the 21 Trivia Competition a try. The producers thus figured it had to be reflected in a horribly misspelled title, like what would happen with tough men you want to avoid on a dark night. Players get to choose which color truck they want to be in charge of (blue, purple, yellow or red) and with the arrow keys, they have to move it through all the levels of the game (there are 20 in all). Of course, the faster one gets through the level, the more points they will accrue but this takes time to master.

Don't Get Too Complacent With Monsta Truk

When I first started moving my red truck around, I figured it would be pretty easy. I kept pressing the up arrow key so that I would go faster, not realizing (at least initially) that there would be so many obstacles like gaps in the road. Clearly I was driving too fast; I realized pretty soon (when I got knocked out of the game on the first level, the first few times) that I would have to drive more responsibly if I wanted to succeed at all in the game. I had to focus not just on speed, but on not crashing as well! I guess that is in a sense, a lesson for life. If you want to do well in life you must focus on speed AND caution.

Don't Go Too Slow Either

But then I tried a different tack. I tried going real slow. But that didn't work either. Because what happened then was that by being so extra cautious, I panicked at the first hurdle (a dip in the road) and went under and crashed that way too! Clearly I realized, if I wanted to do at all well in Monsta Truk, I was going to have to practice. Practice would make perfect, or at least, would improve things for me. And that is another important lesson in life. I am still working on what to do when I get to the big dip in the game, but there again, I feel like I am still working on trying to figure out what to do with the big dip in life too!

Feel Better About Public Phones with Escape the Phone Booth

Keep Trying and You May Get Somewhere

I had never really been a fan of public telephones (who has?). I guess that was why I was so thrilled to get my mobile phone as a present from my parents a few years ago for Christmas. But my buddy told me that there was a fun game on line that I could play that involved public phones and it had none of the stress of real public phones. She said I might enjoy it as it required a lot of brain power and had nothing really to do with using a public phone. So I decided to give it a try. Clearly Escape the Phone Booth has definitely nothing to do with making a phone call in public and much more to do with using brain power to try and figure out how to make a phone call, and, well, as the title suggests, Escape the Phone Booth.

Lose Control With Escape the Phone Booth

What is so frustrating (and yet at the same time, so exciting) about Escape the Phone Booth is that there is absolutely no predictability to the game. Players find themselves in different locations and they do not know where they are or what has happened. For people who thrive on predictability, this is a pretty good way of trying to get over that and stop trying to be such a control freak. The faster one manages to escape their new location, the better off they will be in this game and the more points they will accrue. So I found that the more often I played Escape the Phone Booth, the better I did. And I listened carefully to the hint in the game that I should click around the screen as much as possible. The more I clicked, the more scenes I saw and thus the faster I moved. I quite like Escape the Phone Booth (especially the voice that comes out of the phone booth telling me things like "please pay the 25 cents"; it sounds really real) and I like the fact that it challenges the part of the brain I do not like to use so often due to its unpredictability.

Impact Pool Gives Me Insight Into Real Pool

Test Out Enjoyment of Pool With Impact Pool

I learnt to play real Pool before I got into Impact Pool. But the truth is, I was never much good at real Pool. My boyfriend Dave was almost a pro, and so a lot of our dating centered around pool competitions so I really wanted to be able to join in. He was always very encouraging, but I felt like unless I could compete at least on some level, I would be missing out. And so when I discovered Impact Pool on line I decided to give it a try, figuring that I might learn something along the way. I loved it!

Impact Pool involves the same principle as real pool (you have to get all the different colored balls in to their pockets). The short time allocated to do this (just a minute and a half) makes the game very exciting and helps you focus more. If you shoot a ball in to an incorrect pocket however, you get penalized for it (i.e., any ball that you have already shot successfully in that pocket will be placed back on the table!). The good news is however, that there are often bonus balls which can be helpful (but these are reduced with every foul you make).

Get a Feel For Real Pool Playing Impact Pool

The graphics on this game are really awesome as the balls look EXACTLY like real pool balls. Gaining mouse control of the balls to control them and shoot them in to their respective holes (orange, blue, yellow or pink - on each of the four corners) was really hard for me at first, but after a few attempts, I managed to get to the third level. At first, I was losing all my bonus points and I did shoot a number of balls in their wrong pockets, but I found that the more I practiced, the better I did. And I found that it didn't DIRECTLY help when playing pool with my boyfriend, but it did INDIRECTLY help as I had gained a lot of confidence in my play.

Impossible Quiz Is No Good For Faint Hearted!!!

Try your luck with the Impossible Quiz - it's impossible!

The creators of this game claim that, despite its title, this really is not an impossible quiz. But, having tried this game again and again, I beg to differ. It really IS impossible. Having said that, I should give you a bit of a background on me. I have never had any general knowledge. In fact, my husband of 3 years is always amazed and fascinated at just how little I know, about practically everything! He's like, how can it be, that a relatively intelligent woman like yourself, has gotten to this stage in her life, with knowing so little? I put it down to the fact that most things bore me. Which is why I always go for computer games as they are fast and furious and fun. And that was why I wanted to try the Impossible Quiz, even though I am not really equipped to answer any questions other than a few on Winnie the Pooh, my old time favorite bear.

Impossible Quiz Not Fair

What I found most unfair about the impossible quiz is that you get a question with 4 potential answers. If you hit on one and it is wrong, you lose a life (bear in mind you only have 3 lives for the whole game so you have to be pretty careful with getting a question wrong). But then it makes you try again. You cannot just move on to the next question! So if you get it wrong again, another life is lost! That is what happened to me on the first question of "how many holes does a polo have?" Well I just had no idea and got it wrong 3 times (there are only 4 potential answers) so the game was over immediately!

Impossible Quiz Gets Harder Too

Apparently if you do well (well, at least, better than me which isn't saying much) then you can get a skip treat. What this means is that by answering a lot of questions correctly you get to use a skip for almost any question you want whereby you can choose to skip a question. But there is also the bomb question which gives you only between 1-10 seconds to answer a question and if you fail to do that, the game is over! Yes, this quiz is impossible? and the questions are just too crazy for even the person with the most general knowledge to be able to fathom!

Nudge? I Don't Think So!!!

I'm Nudging Myself Out of My Mind!!!

I really like games that require a bit of hand eye coordination so I thought I'd be great at Nudge. In this game you get a portal and a ball and you have to fit the ball (which moves around like CRAZY by the way) in to the ball. But, like I said, it moves so completely crazily that getting it under control is nigh on impossible! So no matter how many different mouse moves I tried, I kept failing!!! Well, at least that was what happened when I first started playing the game. But I was determined to persevere. So I did. I kept playing and playing and playing and eventually I seemed to work out what I was supposed to do and I actually moved up to the next level?one time anyway! But those initial games can be so frustrating, but, at the same time, they sure do make you want to come back for more.

Yellow Bar Didn't Help Me

So there's also a yellow bar at the top of the screen. This is supposed to be helpful. It tells you how much time you have left to get to the next portal, your health (and thus each life) and it is meant to be helpful and encouraging. I just found it put more pressure on me!! The worse I was doing, the more reminded of it I felt! But still, I guess that is what makes the game more exhilarating for a lot of people. Each level does get harder so I am led to believe, but I have only once gotten to level 2!! I guess I will just have to keep on trying?

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://gamesblogdirectory.blogspot.com/2008/01/nudge-i-dont-think-so.html' title='Nudge? So when I saw the game Chuzzle - the game that really speaks to the deepest part of one's wildest imagination - I knew I was going to have a lot of fun with it. It is a good game for anyone who likes weird and wonderful graphics, as well as puzzle games. In Chuzzle one has to liberate these little "Chuzzles" by joining them up in to groups of 3. As soon as you see these interesting little fur balls made up of wild eyes, you will be enamored (or at least, that's how I felt), but joining them together is not so easy especially as there are a lot of different locks in the puzzle that are trying to prevent you from freeing these little objects.

Get Immersed Into Chuzzle

There are lots of different Chuzzles around with different colors. As soon as you manage to hook up 3 of them, they form a big Chuzzle and that's when you know you've managed to begin the liberation process. The game has 4 different modes to play (depending on your level) so all levels of skilled players get a chance to win. And there are some fun trophies to be won for anyone who enjoys graphically enriched games. Once you get into Chuzzle, you won't want to stop as the more you pop (and liberate), the more you will want to pop!

A Free Online Game with Real Cash Prizes

Hey, online gamers, listen up! I have finally found the game we have all been waiting for: a game that is free to play but awards real cash prizes to hundreds of winners.

The game is online slots or, more specifically, the free online slots tournament at All Jackpots Casino. All the details are at the All Jackpots website, but it basically works like this. You go the All Jackpots website and register with the casino. (Remember, registration is free.) Then you sign up for one of the semi-final tournaments, which are held every day through December 14. The top 50 finishers in each semi-final will then be invited to the final tournament.

The final tournament is where the money is. The grand prize is $50,000, and there are hundreds of smaller prizes for the also-rans as well.

Playing online slots involves two steps: bet and spin. My advice is to always Bet Max. Remember, it is not your money you are betting, so be wild. Betting the maximum gives you a better chance to accumulate the most points and win the tournament. My other piece of advice is to spin quickly. As soon as the reels stop spinning, spin again. Don't sit and ponder your situation, and don't take a bathroom break. (You can do that afterwards.) Just spin, spin, spin. You could be spinning your way to $50,000.

Needless to say, I would be thrilled to know that one of the readers of my blog won the grand prize. So take my advice and register, bet, and spin. Good luck to all!

Get Behind The Wheel With London Cabbie

Check out your sense of direction The first thing you have to do in London Cabbie is pick up your client (in cockney London speak they're called "punters") and once he's in, you start trying to control the cab. See how well you drive around London When I first started playing London Cabbie, I wasn't sure what the orange things were so crashed right in to them and the game was over immediately! I soon realized they were those orange road cones, and that they had to be avoided if I wanted to get anywhere in the game! So for my next attempt I was very proud of myself how I turned the wheel to the right and avoided them?but that pride was extremely short lived as I managed to smash straight in to another oncoming car! I certainly wasn't doing very well and it made me wonder if my regular driving skills needed a bit of a refresher course. My husband had always told me I was a lousy driver, and, if London Cabbie was anything to go by, I guess he was right! Nonetheless, I was determined to get past first level, so I ploughed on with more attempts at the game. The next attempt had me try a different route (in an attempt to avoid both the orange traffic cones and the oncoming car). Thinking I was doing well again, I didn't see the pavement! It certainly was getting a bit frustrating. But the more frustrating London Cabbie became, the more determined I became to beat the system! I went back the same way (the right way, so as to not hit the pavement) and it took me quite a few attempts (I won't admit how many) to stop smashing in to the oncoming red car, but when I did the game took on a whole new level of fun. What I really loved about London Cabbie too was the fact that it made me really feel like I was in London ? all Hugh Grant like ? but with a much more cockney, traditional accent. The words and terms used were exactly like I had always imagined those Londoners ? especially those from the East End ? would speak. Plus, I felt that London Cabbie takes on a whole new set of skills and I liked the fact that I had to develop these well before I could move up a level ? it made me determined.

How High Can You Climb With Avalanche?

Don't Get Intimidated By Avalanche

In Avalanche, you are this little white block. At first it seems okay. But very, very quickly, you find a whole lot of massive square bolts that are incredibly intimidating. And you have to dodge them. And while you are dodging them, you have to try and jump up high as the aim of Avalanche is to jump as many feet as you can. The first time I played Avalanche I did not really move so much but I still successfully managed to climb 21 feet (I am not quite sure how I did that actually, looking back on it because I seemed to be caught up in the Avalanche pretty early on in the game). But then the next time I played, I managed to avoid the bolts pretty well. But then soon enough I was squished behind them, because, like I said, they come pretty fast and often. And you are just this small white block.

Getting Into Avalanche

The real trick with Avalanche is to plan moves strategically. If you feel like you are getting stuck on one side, go to the end of that side and then you will be able to automatically move to the beginning of the other side (provided there is not a huge block there which will crush you). Then, plan other moves strategically by jumping on to the big blocks (without letting other big blocks crush you) so that you can jump higher. That way I got to jumping 33 feet!!! So I was very happy with that. And the more I played, the easier (and less intimidated) I felt about jumping on other blocks which meant I could jump even higher. So I really think with Avalanche the more often you play, the better off you are, thus the more confident you become and the higher your score will be.

Get More Puzzle Games At the Games Directory

I cannot get enough of puzzle games; really! I love to play them no matter where I am, what the time is, or what else I am supposed to be doing. What is really cool ever since I discovered the games directory is that I can do just that - play my puzzle games day or night. I never get bored as there are just so many to choose from! I also really used to love playing bingo but what with all my responsibilities at home now, I hardly ever get the chance to go out so when I discovered Twistingo at the games directory - a combination of bingo and puzzles - well I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven!

Twistingo also got me in the mood for keno online which was a game I'd never played before. I played Twistingo for free online from the Games Directory and after a while felt confident enough to sign up for an online casino (whereby I got a $75 bonus with my first deposit) and played keno. Twistingo was a real stepping stone for my keno online gambling career. But back to the actual game; players get to see numbered balls and they have to click any of the matching ones on their bingo board. You have to clear your own bingo board before the balls reach the mouth though, otherwise you lose a life. So Twistingo really does combine a lot of different game skills and helps otherwise newbie gamblers learn a lot more about their gaming to give them confidence to play for money! Without a doubt I will be seeking out other cool games from the games directory in the future and who knows what doors that will open up for me?

Improve Strategy With Connect 4

I had always been a fan of puzzle games - even before they came on line - so when I found my old favorite Connect 4 on the computer, well I was intrigued. I wasn't sure if I would like the game on the computer as much as I liked it on the table as it were, but the Connect 4 that I found, I really did enjoy a ton. In fact, I play it the whole time now. I'm always trying to improve my score and beat the computer.

Connect 4 from the games directory is pretty much the same as Connect 4 with the plastic grid you use at home. There are two players (you can play against the computer or a real live person on line). You start off with a blank screen (ready to be filled up). There is a cursor at the top of your grid. You have to place the cursor where you want to drop the colored ball (I'm usually blue and the computer - which is what I normally play against, is orange). I place a ball somewhere and immediately afterwards, the computer puts his ball down. I have to admit that the computer is VERY good, because I remember when I used to play against my brother (granted he was 2 years my junior) and I would ALWAYS win! But now - especially since the computer makes its moves so quickly so I feel pressurized to do the same), I have a hard time winning! But that is what makes the game so cool I guess. And probably why I keep going back to play it.

It's a lot of fun Connect 4 - give it a try sometime!

Get Your Jewels From Gem Shop

Enjoy matching up jewels in this colorful and fun puzzle game.

I like the thought of making money. I also like jewels. I mean, what gal doesn't? so when I spotted Gem Shop on the web, I thought I just had to give it a try. You get a screen with a whole load of different gems (they're more or less the same shapes but it's a ton of different colors: gold, ruby, diamond, topaz, emerald. You have to move the gem stones around to form 3 in a row. Once you have 3 in a row they are knocked out. Knocking them out means you make a sale and you get money in to your bank. The problem is, the only way you can join 3 in a row is by a vertical movement. It is possible to make more than one place move at a time (it doesn't just have to be one spot) but it is only vertical that is allowed.

Getting a Sale in Gem Shop

Moving the gems around to knock them off the board is how you make a customer happy and get a sale in Gem Shop. At first I thought it was going to be real simple, since I was joining 3 in a row easily. But then I got stuck. And that was when I realized (almost too late but not quite) that Gem Shop also requires strategy. You have to think ahead to your next move. It's all very well getting 3 rubies lined up together to knock them off the board, but if you have nothing for your next move, you're screwed. So you have to bear that in mind.

Great Winnings in Gem Shop

Yet even on my first game, at the first level I made $4,310 and by the second level I was up to $12,080 on my sales. It's not just about moving the gems around though - you have to keep the customers happy (as in any good shop) so you have to give them special treats so they stay with you and you get the sale.

Have a Great Vacation with Holiday Express

Have fun acting like a Santa playing Holiday Express

If you want Christmas to come every day and you find that come July you're really missing the gaiety, music and happiness in the streets, then you will no doubt really love Holiday Express. It's also nice - any time of year - to feel like you are bringing presents to people who will love them. But Holiday Express - with its wonderful Christmas music - is a bit more about strategy than Santa. You get a train and on that train you have to load all your gifts. It's not so easy as the game can move fast, especially in Flurry Mode where the clock is ticking. In Snowy Mode it's much easier as you get more time to fill the train and in this mode you get to really enjoy the fantastic scenery on the longer ride.

Move around the gifts carefully

So before you start just throwing on the gifts (that are on the conveyor belt at the bottom of the screen) in just any old way, make sure that you do so SENSIBLY. Otherwise you'll be stuck in a situation with a whole load of extra gifts that will have to be left behind. You want to try and be as efficient as possible. So also make the most of the small gifts that are at the bottom left hand side of the screen ? they can go into the small places to fill up the gaps. Use your space bar to rotate the gifts (again making the most of the space you have) and for any that just won't fit, drop them in the gift return. So even in the middle of July you can enjoy the snow, without having to move to Australia!

Keep Up The Pace in Keep Ups 2

I actually find myself biting my tongue in Keep Ups 2! Honest, I do! I'm trying to make sure the ball doesn't fall on the virtual ground and as a result, I'm biting away! Not only that, but goodness knows what I am doing to my computer keyboard in the process. I keep hitting harder and harder on the left or right cursors so that it doesn't fall. What I really liked initially about Keep Ups 2 was that, unlike a lot of the other free on line games I played, with Keep Ups 2 you can be really unskilled and still not get a score of 0. My first few Keep Ups 2 attempts I got 3 or 4 so that at least I didn't feel completely hopeless. Because usually in free online games, if I do end up feeling helpless, then I invariably want to quit. But considering I got some (albeit minimal) points in Keep Ups 2, I wanted to come back again and again, to improve on my score. And I didn't feel disheartened. In fact on just my third attempt at Keep Ups 2 I got a score of 15. The way you play Keep Ups 2 is mainly through the mouse. You want to keep the ball in the air for as long as possible. So click on the ball ? using the mouse ? to ensure it does not fall. If you want to move it even more though in one or the other direction, you use the left and right cursor key. The music played in Keep Ups 2 is pretty exciting too, making you feel like you are at a soccer match or something! I also thought it was pretty cool how you see your score in HUGE digits at the top of the screen, perhaps a bit like you would at a real live soccer game. So the main skill you have to develop in Keep Ups 2 is ball control ? which you get with greater mouse control. At times I did feel like the game was unfair, like I was sure that I was actually keeping the ball up in the air, but the game was knocking it out of me and hence I was losing. But that could just be the talk of a man losing his soccer game!

Survive Bubble Rain In The Game Called Bob

I just thought this little panda was so cute. And since I agreed he really looked like a Dave, I figured I would give The Game Called Bob a test run. I was glad I did as I had a lot of fun with it. The aim of the game is for Dave to survive the bubble rain for as long as he can. Dave is a panda and you are the panda, so you have to control Dave. To do that, you use the left and right cursor keys (for moving Dave around) and the up key (for blowing bubbles). The longer you hold down on the up key, the bigger bubble Dave can blow and that is actually a great way of doing it because I find I am pretty much holding my breath when I hold down the up key, just like I would if I was a real panda, blowing up a real bubble! The game is actually a lot harder than it looks. At first I only got 20 points, because I didn't get that I was meant to be avoiding the red bubbles and making my own white bubbles. But by the next game I was already up to 360 points, as I was not only avoiding the red (bad) bubbles, but I was also creating my own white bubbles, in the space where the red ones were, to knock those out. So what you basically are trying to do in The Game Called Bob is twofold: avoid the red bubbles and create your own white bubbles to attack those bubbles and not get attacked by them. You don't have as much movement with Dave as I would actually like ? you can only move from side to side ? and I think that is one of the restrictions of the game, but it is fun when you get to detonate a bubble or speed up (look out for those specific icons in the game ? you will see what they look like before you start playing).

So if you're looking for a cute game, then I think The Game Called Bob fits the bill. It's cute, can be challenging and you definitely see yourself improving in each game so it's not as frustrating as a lot of the other games out there.

Go on then, Park My Car!

Since I'd always viewed myself as a pretty good driver who had a lack of understanding of special awareness and thus got somewhat stuck when it came to parking, I was quite intrigued when I found the Internet game Park My Car on my favorite addicting games website. In all the driving lessons I had taken when I was younger and the tutorials my boyfriend tried to give me, my problems in the area of parking had never lessened. So the time was ripe for me to - in the comfort of my own home behind a virtual wheel - beef up my parking skills.

It looked easy enough and pretty much like driving, with the cursors acting as the wheel in a way. Cursor up was accelerate; down, reverse; right turns the front wheels to the right and left makes the front wheels go left. If anyone gets in your way or irritates you, you just press on the spacebar to honk your horn. Sounded easy enough.

Except it wasn't! I was playing the game for all of about 3 seconds when I crashed in to the curb! I had reversed instead of gone forward and I knew exactly what my boyfriend would have to say about that! A screen shouting out LEVEL FAILED! Try again? was beaming me for an answer so I felt I had to have another go. But then this time it was about 20 seconds before the same thing happened and I heard that awful crash! This time I had gone the right way but crashed into the other end! I had to drive a little and park and it was taking me a while to get the hang of it.

Well, 3rd time lucky they say so I was up for another go of Park My Car. This time I managed to get into the space, but because I was facing the wrong way and was having trouble maneuvering the back of the car, I crashed in to another car! I had a few more goes and things did get a bit better but I can see I still have a long way to go before I win any parking awards and I do feel that Park My Car has taught me to be a bit more cautious on the roads now too.

Play 1000 AD Tournament

If you like the speed, adrenalin and excitement of on line games, you will probably love on line tournaments. For anyone who has a competitive nature, 1000 AD game and tournament on line is a real fun and exciting strategy based game to play.

There are 10 different civilizations available and a ton of fantastical features in each, from horsemen, swordsmen to macemen and archers, etc. so when I play 1000 AD I can really live out my fantasy of fighting while remaining bloodless! I love to go for Zulu. It's not surprising this game has a rating of 8.6, but I would for sure give it a 10.

I also like the fact that 1000 AD is mac compatible. This is great for me because as a graphically enhanced individual, I love the macintosh. You have a few options too within the game: standard game; tournament game; blitz game and test game.

What you are aiming to do in 1000 AD is acquire any of the 3 types of land available: mountains, forest and plains, because you are trying to erect a building and all the buildings require this land to be developed on. So what you have to do is assess the kind of building you want, and then with that knowledge, see which of the 3 types of land you need. The way you get the land is pretty much by snatching it from other empires. You can also explore as a way to get land (which you are more likely to do in the first part of the game as if you conquer you need an army and that costs a lot of money which you don't want to spend initially).

So you want to work out how much time you want to spend on construction and thus how you want to invest in this; bear in mind that you have to use your time, money and building personnel wisely. You can see how much food you have (which helps you determine the speed of your population growth); what is going on with personnel (do you need to hire or fire staff?; is your original staff efficient?; is it worth constructing town centers?) Town centers are the most crucial buildings on the one hand but require huge resources on the other so think carefully about it. Make sure at the end of each segment you analyze the following: food consumption; heating use; population size; etc. I always find the status screen (which is there the whole time) very helpful as that indicates how much money you have and your goods as well as storage space.

So now you see what I mean by strategy! But it is fun strategy, so sit back, use your brain wisely and try and win!

Avoid the Butter with War on Toast

Given that our family is always fighting over who gets the next piece of toast every morning for breakfast, I thought Toast of War looked like it could be a fun game to play to which we could all relate. So I decided to check it out myself first and assess the situation. First you have to familiarize yourself with the controls. You have the cursors which act as the basic controls (left and right ? move left and right; cursor up, aim up; cursor down, crouch, aim down and get in toaster ? that really does look like a fun one!; A is jump or jump out of toaster; S is attack and the shift key is hold to run) and then the weapon controls (Q is left weapon slot; W is middle weapon slot and E is right weapon slot and then you have the space bar which picks up weapons). If you get a bit overwhelmed in the game (or the phone rings) you can press P for pause.

Anyway the aim of the game is for the toast to avoid being attacked by the butter. But it is not so easy to do as you have to really understand the control keys to know how to do that and fast. The graphics are fun and it starts with a little animation between a granddad toast and his grandson. The grandson is asking his grandpa to tell him the story of the toast and he keeps having to repeat it. And then you (the grandson I guess) have to find different and creative ways of avoiding being attacked by the butter.

I did a lot of jumping in my first few games as that was the control I was most comfortable with and it certainly helped me avoid being attacked by the butter but as I progressed and played more games, I felt more comfortable trying out the other controls too. Definitely with War on Toast the more often you play it, the better your skills become. It is a cute idea and the graphics are fun so I would for sure recommend it.

Check Out Cool Mac Games at the Games Directory

Having a Mac (rather than the traditional PC) always made me feel a bit out of things. There always seemed to be so much more available to download from the Internet with a PC than with a Mac. I loved my Mac and my husband always took care of it for me if the need ever arose, but I wanted to play some fun games, especially since the graphics are so much more superior on a Mac than a PC. Well, I finally found a games directory that had an entire category just for Mac computers! And boy were the games at that games directory awesome! It was so exciting for me and I was all of a sudden really glad that I had never traded in my trusty Mac for a PC! I even think the Mac games at this games directory required more brain power as Mac users are probably cleverer, but that was likely just my biased and excitement at these cool and exciting Mac games.

Anyway, the first of these games that I played (and still play actually) was Garden Dreams whereby you have to help Granny with her gardening. It may sound a bit boring and serene but Garden Dreams is nothing of the sort and combines strategy with fun for anyone seeking a challenge. In Garden Dreams players have to try saving Granny's garden. Granny has unfortunately gotten herself in to a bit of financial strife and your job is to try to get her out of it, in order to save her garden which will have to go if we don't get her out of this mess! You want to buy all new stuff for the garden which has really gone to pot, but you have to be careful with your budget. If you do well, you can even get to see a smile on Granny's face as you make her garden dream come true! What fun I always have with this game!

Learn to Make Money By Using Free Games From the G

I had always wanted to put myself in for a contest - maybe even on TV - by using my literary skills. Problem was, I had absolutely no competitive experience. That was when a friend suggested I check out the Games Directory that she loved, whereby I could play some of these cool word games for free. That way, she said, I could get more accustomed to how these word games worked, have fun with them and then see if I felt ready to actually apply for some similar such games at a competitive level, whereby I would make some money.

The first of these games that I found was called "Flip Words." In this game you get a whole load of letters in a grid (my one was 7 x 7) and you have to flip them around to create a word. The free online version took only moments to download so I could get a feel for how the game worked and what it was. Well, it didn't take me long to get really into playing this game! At first I was only getting 3 letter words, but by my third round I was up to 7 letters! Because I was having so much fun with "flip word" I started playing word games in the newspaper and even won $150 for one! Now I'm considering trying to get in to some TV game shows to see if I can really make me some money!

Build Your Wall Tall With Pacxon

It's really cool when you get to the games directory on line and you find just quite the perfect game to play. For me, the perfect game is Pacxon, which is pretty much like a really modern and cool version of the age old Pacman. Now everybody loved Pacman didn't they? Well I sure did and now, with Pacxon, I can get all that enjoyment but with way more movement as Pacxon moves fast and furiously with animated gifs and super fun action. What you have to do with Pacxon is build a wall, but there is so much going on as you do with the ghosts rendering wall building quite the challenge. And as soon as one of those ghosts get near to me I'm running as fast as I can as I don't want them to take one of my lives so I'm always on the move with Pacxon. The more wall you have the easier it gets but you have to move pretty fast and in the right direction to avoid those ghosts.

I love the fact that I can just download Pacxon in a matter of moments. And once that's happened, I can start moving and creating my wall. Even if I lose a life pretty quick - or indeed my three lives go - I can start another game real quick. So for anyone who remembers those fun Pacman days and want to bring that back into their lives but in a more fun and exciting way, Pacxon really is the game for you. The Games Directory has a ton of fun games like this, but I always go for Pacxon as I'm still trying to win!

Get Dressed Up With Wedding Dressup From the Games

I so remember those days when my mom used to buy me a comic with cut out pictures of beautiful young ladies and a few different outfits. I had such fun with them and I guess I never grew out of it because when I found the Vera Wang Spring Wedding Dressup through the Games Directory, it was like all my wonderful childhood memories coming back to me. But oh is it so much better and more sophisticated! There is so much more for the player to do. You get to choose the complexion; the hairstyle (and veil); the type of dress (I wish I would have been able to do that for my wedding day!); the shoes; the flowers; the jewelry, etc.

The Vera Want Spring Wedding Dressup really is every little girl's dream, but what's great about it is that it takes it to a whole new level; the adult version. It lets you, as a grown woman, dress up as a princess for a day and see how different styles can look. That way you can even perhaps visualize how you would feel if you yourself were wearing a dress with a Princess line, or had your hair up in a bun, or put on some orange lipstick and had a tan!

What is so great about the games you can get from the games directory is that there is no end to putting the imagination (your personal imagination) in to practice. There is just no limit to the amount of fun you can have and how much you can escape, in a good, positive way, with all the different places the games directory can take you.

My Favorite Games Directory

I was pretty happy when I came across the games directory on line. I had been looking for a super high quality game of multi hand black jack and while it was a pretty safe bet (ha! excuse the pun) to just do a google search for a black jack casino, I wanted something a bit more specific. I wanted to find out through a directory specializing in black jack where the top multi hand black jack games would be. It just meant that my leisure time would be more efficiently spent.

Using a games directory to find your favorite game has a lot of advantages: speed and efficiency mainly. As soon as I got my directions to the games of multi hand black jack available from the directory, I was on my way to playing. I found a great game of online black jack using the best, top of the range flash Microgaming software. Good software is crucial to my game playing enjoyment and that is another advantage of the use of the games directory; you can specify your requirements much more easily. Top software means faster paced gaming and more realistic, brick-casino gaming, too. That is why using an on line list of games specifically designed to your needs makes sense. At least, it did for me.

I also found a very safe website to play multi hand black jack. Of course, at this internet casino, there were a ton of black jack variations, and lots of other games, too. But I am mainly interested in this fun, frantic version of black jack. For me, since I have been enjoying on line black jack gambling for some time now, I know exactly what turns me on and excites me, which is why using a directory for the specific needs and requirements that I have makes the most sense. If you are looking for something very precise in your gaming, check out one of the games directories and you will have a greater chance of coming closer to what you are looking for.<div
